Ripley’s Toronto aquarium expected to open in 2013

There’s some good news for shark fans, now that TV’s shark week is over.  

Work has begun on Ripley’s Aquarium at the base of the CN Tower.

Details about the design will be unveiled at a news conference next Wednesday, featuring premier Dalton McGuinty and mayor Rob Ford.

The aquarium will include an underwater tunnel, the perfect vantage point for viewing fish, including “sand tiger” sharks.

the tourist attraction is set to open in 2013.
