Mayor Ford viewed negatively on Twitter

TORONTO, Ont. – Mayor Rob Ford is being torn apart on Twitter.

A survey by the social media group found out that of the 43,000 times the mayor was mentioned on social media sites since being sworn-in last December, fewer than 3,000 posts were positive.

The Toronto Star reported that Ford’s popularity was 61 per cent negative this summer.

Analysts said the public battle between the Ford brothers and author Margaret Atwood over possible cuts to library funding was to blame.
