Long lines as new iPhone hits stores

Tech lovers will have to endure some lineups to get their hands on Apple’s latest offering.
The iPhone 4S went on sale across Canada Friday and around the world.
Some analysts are predicting Apple will sell as many as three million new phones this weekend. The 4S broke records when Apple received more than one million pre-orders last Friday.
Nelson Fong was first person in line at the Apple Store in the Eaton Centre. He staked out his spot at 5 a.m. Thursday.
When asked what prompted him to wait in line more than 24 hours, he said: “Good products, value and just the name itself.”
He owns every iPhone that’s been launched.
It was a similar scene in other cities around the world, including in London, England where one avid Apple fan camped out for 10 days.
The device offers an improved camera, voice recognition software and a faster processor. A 16GB model will cost you $649.
The iPhone 4S was the last product to be launched before Apple co-founder Steve Jobs’ death earlier this month.
The gadget also goes on sale as competitor Research in Motion endures some troubling times, following a four-day outage that created a massive backlog of messages and emails.
