Toronto police have released three security camera images of the alleged silver getaway car in last week’s North York double shooting.
Police released the images on Monday of the four-door silver car pictured leaving a parking lot.
Two suspects — a teen gunman and his getaway driver — are being sought following Thursday’s brazen double shooting outside a North York community centre that sent a 19-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl to hospital.
Witnesses said the gunman appeared to have shot her because she may have witnessed the 19-year-old being gunned down on Grandravine Drive.
The girl, who was in the area to visit teachers from her old school, Oakdale Park Middle School, was shot in the leg and has been released from hospital.
The other victim—the apparent intended target—remains in stable condition at Sunnybrook. Police said the gunman shot the man several times from about a metre’s range as he walked out of the Oakdale Community Centre, near Jane and Finch. The centre is near Oakdale Park Middle School, which was placed in lockdown after the gunfire erupted.
On Friday investigators released a short description of the gunman:
-light-black complexion.
-17 to 18 years old.
-between five feet eight inches and five feet 10 inches tall.
He was wearing a grey hooded shirt.
