Urban Artwork celebrates 100 years of Marshall McLuhan

TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto is celebrating the centenary of the birth of Marshall McLuhan  the man who foresaw and predicted how technology would transform humanity.
 
The DEW Line Festival is  exploring the impact of digital media on our lives today and tomorrow while celebrating this global icon.
 
Two international video art projects- Vera Frenkel’s The Messiah with the Right Credentials, and NATURE curated by Sharon Switzer are getting “urban” exhibits.
 
The thought-provoking imagery of NATURE can be seen on Pattison Onestops’ soaring billboard located on the roof of 322 Yonge at Edward Street and  features an 8-second video and text pieces .
 
The Messiah with the Right Credentials by Vera Frenkel plays every 10 minutes on over 300 Pattison Onestop subway platform screens across Toronto.
