Mayor Rob Ford will dance in National Ballet’s Nutcracker

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is preparing to show off his artistic side by making a guest appearance in The Nutcracker by The National Ballet of Canada.
The National Ballet said Monday that Ford will play a cannon doll for one performance during the Nutcracker, which runs Dec. 10 to Jan. 3, 2012.
The announcement was made Monday, as Ford met with the company’s artistic director and former ballerina Karen Kain at Toronto City Hall to officially proclaim Nov. 14-20 The National Ballet of Canada Week.
Ford isn’t the only Toronto mayor to show off his dancing skills in ballet tights – both Barbara Hall and David Miller have participated in the Nutcracker.
