Complete coverage from Canada’s Got Talent Toronto auditions

TORONTO – The largest Canadian talent show in history is set to debut on CityTV in March 2012, and over the weekend the Toronto auditions took place, awing judges and fans alike.

The talent show features a medley of singers, dancers, magicians, comedians and more, who will all compete for a cash prize of $100,000.

John Brunton, the show producer, told 680News there is every single type of act you could imagine.

“I am so excited, we have the entire city and province coming to do auditions today, tomorrow and the next day,” Brunton said on Saturday.

“We are going to do six shows, three hours long. There are hundreds of people doing everything you could imagine,” said Brunton.

Canadian comedian and actor Martin Short, opera singer Measha Brueggergosman and musician Stephan Moccio will be judging the competition, while CityTV’s Dina Pugliese will be hosting the show.

“The audience will go wild in the theatre (over) the next three days,” said Brunton.
