Holiday party planning tips

The holiday season is the busiest time of the year and between work, shopping, family functions and non stop parties, planning a party could be very stressful.

Director of Eatertainment and entertaining expert Sebastien Centner said, planning a holiday party does not have to be stressful.

“You want to take into account things that will make partying planning less stressful. The less stress you are for entertaining or party planning, the more you can enjoy your own party,” said Centner.

Centner gives the following tips:

  1. Don’t over complicate things
  2. Do as much as you can in advance
  3. Keep in mind, people come to your party to see you
  4. Enjoy your own party, spend time with your guests

  1. Cocktail parties
  2. Station menus
  3. Casual parties rather than dinner parties
  4. Self-serve bars; Martinis and Caesars

Decorations:

  1. Candles
  2. Use any objects you might have at home that can be adjusted for the party theme i.e. Over sized vases and champaign buckets can be fill it with holiday ornaments
