Google Canada celebrates 10 years

TORONTO, Ont. – It’s hard to believe, but Canadians have been googling for a decade.

Google Canada is celebrating its 10th anniversary this week.

The company has 300 employees in four offices, including Toronto.

“Google” became a verb in 2006 when the term was officially entered into the Oxford Dictionary.

Google has since expanded, buying YouTube in 2007 and launching Google Street View in Canada in 2009.
