Two men implicated in fraud investigation following random traffic stop

Two men are in police custody after a random traffic stop turned into a fraud investigation, Wednesday.
An officer pulled over a vehicle for speeding on the 401 in Whitby, and smelled marijuana. The officer proceeded to search the vehicle, and found more than 100 stolen credit cards.
One of the suspects also had an Ontario driver’s license issued under a fake name.
The stop led police to seize $20,000 worth of cocaine from a location in Mississauga.
Two men in their 20’s – one from Mississauga, the other from Quebec – face numerous charges, including fraud, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a credit card obtained by crime.
