Female arrested in connection with east end stabbing

TORONTO, Ont. – One person has been arrested after a woman believed to be in her 60s was stabbed multiple times in the east end of the city.

It happened on the seventh floor of an apartment building at 3947 Lawrence Ave. E., near Orton Park Road.

EMS officials said the victim suffered superficial wounds, and was likely stabbed with a knife. She was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A female is in custody, but police will not reveal her age.
