Special weather statement for Toronto: mostly rain

TORONTO, Ont. – A special weather statement is in effect for Toronto and a huge stretch of the province, calling for the possibility of lots of snow or rain, depending on the temperature.

The special weather statement is in effect from Windsor to Ottawa.

For Toronto, it’s expected to be mostly rain starting Monday, but it could change if the temperature drops.

“It all depends on the track of the storm system moving up from the south,” said 680News meteorologist Jill Taylor.

“Now, if the low stays further south, it’ll mean we’ll be into more snow, than the rain, and accumulations could be quite high. But again at this point, it looks mainly a rain event for Toronto.”

She is also watching an Alberta clipper, which could hit on Thursday.
