Worker seriously hurt in fall at TTC yard

A worker was seriously hurt in an accident at the TTC’s Hillcrest yard on Bathurst Street near Davenport Road Thursday morning.
The 41-year-old man fell four-and-a-half metres from a platform onto the pavement around 5:15 a.m.
The victim was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital, semi-conscious, with a serious cut to the forehead.
The man is recovering in hospital.
There’s no word on what caused the accident. The province’s ministry of labour isn’t investigating the fall.
