Teen found safe after chasing alleged thieves

A teen who disappeared after chasing a group of alleged thieves has been found safe.

Around 5 p.m. Wednesday, Abdifatah Hussein and a friend were near Morningside Avenue and Military Trail in Scarborough when, according to the friend, they were mugged.

The friend told police Hussein, 18, ran after the alleged robbers and didn’t return.

Officers were concerned Hussein might have been hurt, but he reportedly turned up at his home around 5 a.m. Thursday.

The suspects are still at large.
