Missing 12-year-old Acton girl found safe

A 12-year-old Acton girl who disappeared Thursday night was found safe on Friday morning, Halton Regional Police said.

Tayler Marchment was last seen leaving a residence in downtown Acton around 8 p.m. Thursday and was expected to walk home, but she never showed up.

Officers confirmed the child had been located safe around 7:30 a.m. Friday. Police reportedly found her at a friend’s house after she made a Facebook post.
