Police will be on the lookout for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians who break the rules and slow down traffic in the west end as part of Operation Safe Commute this week.
Officers plan to pay extra attention to offences, including illegal parking, aggressive driving and drivers who ignore no parking restrictions that slow traffic during busy commuting times.
About 1.2 million vehicles travel in and out of the city every day, police say.
The blitz is being headed up by officers out of 14 Division, which stretches from the Annex area down to Parkdale. The effort wraps up on Sunday.
