Pandas coming back to Toronto Zoo

Pandas will soon be back at the Toronto Zoo.
The last time black and white bears were at the Toronto Zoo was in 1985.
“When they were here last, it was a huge attendance spike, one of the largest we’ve seen at the Toronto Zoo,” city councillor Josh Colle explained. He’s on the zoo board. “So I think it will be a real draw.”
He said they do need to do some reconfiguration to accomodate the bears. So when can we expect to see them?
“The time frame is that we hope to have them here as soon as possible, but with all the paperwork and us getting our site ready, our expectation would be another year,” Colle explained.
Colle said the added bonus is they will likely be here for the Pan Am games.
