Customers warned after Harvey’s employee positive for hepatitis A

Peel Public Health has issued a warning after an employee at a Harvey’s restaurant in Mississauga had hepatitis A while working.
The person works at the Harvey’s at 6430 Erin Mills Parkway.
Officials are warning that customers who ate there on Jan. 28 or 29, or Feb, 4 or 5, could have been exposed to the illness.
The risk of infection is considered low.
Customers, however, are being urged to monitor their health closely.
Symptoms can develop up to 50 days after exposure to hepatitis A and include:
- fever
- loss of appetite
- nausea
- abdominal pain
- dark coloured urine
- jaundice (yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes).
