Police lay almost 10,000 charges during distracted driving campaign

TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto police say they laid almost 10,000 charges during their week-long distracted driving campaign.

That number is up from the close to 9,000 charges laid during last year’s blitz.

However, police say that charges for using a hand held device while behind the wheel were down from last year.
