No more “live from the Kodak Theatre” reference at Oscars

You will not hear “live from the Kodak Theatre” at Sunday’s Oscars.

Instead, the opening announcement will say the show is being broadcast “live from the Hollywood and Highland Center in Hollywood, California.”

The break with tradition comes because the landlord of the theatre is trying to find a replacement for Kodak.

The company has filed for bankruptcy and is backing out of its multi-million dollar naming agreement for the theatre.
