Man dead in Whitby crane collapse

One man is dead after an industrial accident in Whitby.

Durham police told 680News a crane fell just after 1:30 p.m. on Brock Street south of Victoria.

It’s unclear how the crane fell, but police believe the crane operator is the man who was killed.
