RED DEER, Alta. — B.C.’s Kelly Scott is into the final of the Canadian women’s curling championship.

Her Kelowna Curling Club team beat Manitoba’s Jennifer Jones 7-5 in a playoff between the top two playoff seeds in the tournament.

Scott will play in Sunday’s final of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Jones has to win Saturday’s semifinal to gain a rematch with Scott.

Her Winnipeg team meets the winner of playoff between third seed Marie-France Larouche of Quebec and fourth seed Heather Nedohin of Alberta earlier in the day.

B.C. scored two in the fourth and stole two in the fifth to take a 5-2 lead and control of the game. Scott won the Canadian championship in both 2006 and 2007.
