Gadget fans rejoice: Apple could be releasing the iPad 3 next week.

The company has sent an email to journalists inviting them to a special event in San Francisco for March 7.

The invitation shows someone using an iPad and says: “We have something you really have to see. And touch.”

Apple wouldn’t confirm it’s releasing the latest generation of its popular tablet.
