Bills WR Johnson signs contract extension

Stevie Johnson is sticking around in Buffalo.

The Bills announced on Monday that the wide receiver has signed a contract extension with the club. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Johnson inked a five-year, $36.25 million deal.

Johnson led Buffalo in receiving with 76 receptions for 1,004 yards and seven touchdowns in 2011, becoming the first player in franchise history to post back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving seasons.

Buffalo drafted Johnson in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL draft. Johnson was scheduled to become a free agent.
