Justin Bieber Tweets cheeky message to baby-daddy accuser Mariah Yeater

This article is more than 5 years old.
It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about Mariah Yeater, the woman who claimed that Justin Bieber was her baby’s daddy. But even though we thought the scandal was behind him, it appears that Bieber had one last thing to say about it.
In a tweet sent to his followers on Friday, the “Boyfriend” singer dedicated an audio clip from Borat to his 20-year-old accuser.
He then posted a clip in which Sacha Baron Cohen taunts, “You will never get this!”
Guess after all those months of being really mature about the whole situation, something had to give! He is only 18, after all.
But why is Justin bringing up Mariah Yeater now, when everybody is focused on his new album and his adorable relationship with Selena Gomez? What even brought her to mind? Last month, there were some reports that Yeater had rejoined Twitter to wish Bieber a happy birthday — but the Twitterverse is full of fake Mariah Yeater accounts, and the story seemed a little fishy.
Beyond that, we haven’t heard anything about Yeater since she dropped her paternity lawsuit last winter. Shortly afterward, a series of incriminating text messages was released online, in which Mariah appeared to admit that someone else was her child’s father. Nevertheless, Bieber — who was adamant that he’d never met Yeater — took a DNA test to clear his name.
Oddly, despite Bieber’s threats of a counter-lawsuit, the results of the DNA test were never publicly released. The Improper theorizes that the case may still be ongoing, since as of December, Yeater’s lawyers claimed they hadn’t received Justin’s DNA sample.
Anyhow, until we hear otherwise, we’re going to assume that the Justin Bieber baby-daddy scandal is all in the past, and that Justin just couldn’t restrain himself from posting that Borat clip any longer. It seemed to please his fans, anyway.
“Today will definitely go down in belieber history,” wrote one Twitter follower, whom Justin retweeted.
One more thing that’s worth noting: Justin’s upcoming album Believe contains a song called “As Long as You Love Me,” which Bieber has said will address “the past and the rumors.”
