Brantford pastor charged with assault

A Brantford pastor has been charged with assault over an incident that allegedly occurred last year.

Police allege he grabbed a young girl by the arm and pinned her to a chair at St. Basil’s Church, preventing her from leaving.

The incident happened between September 2011 and October 2011, but wasn’t reported until April 13, 2012.

Mark Sullivan, 49, has been charged with assault. He will next appear in court on June 29.
