Increased aggressive behaviour in kids linked to excessive video game use

Kids who spend too much time playing video games and too little time interacting with family and friends are more prone to aggressive behaviour, according to the British Association of Anger Management.
The association found a link between higher levels of aggression in kids and higher numbers of hours spent playing video games.
Half of parents asked said their sons and daughters became less co-operative after playing video games. In addition to the lack of co-operation from their children, the parents also noted more rudeness, impatience, and mood swings.
British researchers recommend that parents limit the amount of hours their kids spend playing video games, but did not suggest how long a child can spend gaming before it results in anti-social behaviour.
The British association also did not specify if violent video games were more likely to promote aggressive behaviour.
There is already a significant body of research that links violent television-viewing to higher levels of aggression in children.
