Digital series ‘The Booth at the End’ returns for 2nd season

The Booth at the End, a digital dramatic series featuring a mysterious man who issues disturbing requests, will continue for its second season, airing exclusively on Citytv.com, its mobile app and Rogers Anyplace TV.

The show is about a man who occupies the booth at the end of a diner. In each 22-minute episode, strangers come to him with various unattainable requests that he agrees to fulfill. In return, the man asks these people to perform deeds that force them to sacrifice their morals.

The show – which for season 2 takes place in a different diner – poses the question: how far would you go to get what you want? It is directed by Emmy-award winner Adam Arkin.

“Rogers is an industry leader in delivering world-class content on its robust suite of digital properties, and this series is another example of how we are making premium programming accessible to viewers on multiple platforms at any given time,” Andrea Gagliardi, Senior Director and General Manager, Broadcasting, Rogers Digital Media, said.

Those who missed the first season can catch it on FX Canada starting Thursday at 11:30 p.m. for five consecutive weeks.

The show is produced by Vuguru, an independent studio created by former Disney CEO Michael Eisner. Rogers Media – the parent of Citytv and CityNews.ca – is a part owner in Vuguru.
