Man arrested after hit-and-run in Brampton

Police have arrested a man they say drove off after hitting a pedestrian in Brampton.

It happened just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday at Queen Street East and Rutherford Road.

Paramedics took the victim to hospital, where she remains in serious condition.

Officers later found the SUV involved and arrested the driver.

They have not released any information about the age of the suspect or victim.
