Man dies after being struck by vehicle in Burlington

A 69-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle in Burlington.

Police say it happened on Maple Crossing Boulevard, near Maple Avenue and Lakeshore Road, around 7 p.m.

When emergency crews arrived on scene they found a man laying at the end of the driveway without any vital signs.

Police say it appears that a 17-year-old male was reversing a 2004 Ford Explorer when it struck the man and an 18-year-old female, then crashed into a tree and two town homes.

The female was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No one in the homes was injured.
