Man charged in plate-throwing Chinatown restaurant brawl

Police have charged a man after a wild plate-throwing brawl at a Vietnamese restaurant in Toronto’s Chinatown last weekend.
The melee, which was recorded and went viral on YouTube, broke out at the Pho Xe Lua Restaurant at 254 Spadina Ave., around 3:30 a.m. last Saturday.
The video shows several patrons jostling before punches, and plates, start flying.
Police allege Aenoy Vilaysane, 28, of Burlington, threw a plate that hit a woman in the face, causing injuries that required treatment.
Vilaysane has been charged with assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous.
He was scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
