The start of Hollywood’s award season has arrived with Thursday’s nominations for the 2013 Golden Globes.
The ceremony – considered a funnier, less-stuffy, precursor to the Academy Awards – sees both movies and television recognized in comedy and drama categories.
Lincoln led the pack with seven nominations, including best picture, best director for Steven Spielberg and best actor for Daniel Day-Lewis.
Argo, Django Unchained, Life of Pi and Zero Dark Thirty were also nominated for best dramatic movie, but long-shot contender The Master was left off the list.
