More artists have been announced for the City New Year’s Bash 2013, the biggest party in Toronto to ring in the new year.
Pop artist Bridgit Mendler, Juno-award-winning artist Serena Ryder, and the cast from Disney on Ice will join stars like Johnny Reid, The Tenors, Kardinal Offishall, Victoria Duffield, Shawn Desman, Massari, and Jully Black at Nathan Phillips Square.
The free outdoor concert will be hosted by Citytv personalities Gord Martineau, Kevin Frankish, Dina Pugliese and Tracy Moore.
The annual City New Year’s Bash on Citytv is in its 28th year and has quickly become the country’s highest-rated New Year’s countdown.
The party also takes place at Olympic Plaza in Calgary and Churchill Square in Edmonton.
“Citytv has become the destination of choice for many families ringing in the New Year, with an astounding 5.1 million viewers tuned in to last year’s broadcast,” said Malcolm Dunlop, executive vice-President of Programming and Operations, Broadcast, Rogers Media.
“To ring in 2013, we’re connecting with even more Canadians with three party locations, and a stellar entertainment lineup for all ages.”
For those not near a TV, a live video stream will be available at Citytv.com, or on the Citytv Video App for iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and Android. iPad users can also take part in the festivities through the Citytv Social Stream App to chat with other fans, share pictures and send greetings to loved ones. Toronto’s KiSS 92.5 will also broadcast highlights live throughout the night.
