Zach Braff voices monkey in ‘Oz the Great and Powerful’

Scrubs actor Zach Braff provides the voice for the monkey Frank in the new Disney movie Oz the Great and Powerful, a prequel to The Wizard of Oz.
“The movie is live action interspersed with CGI,” Braff said on Breakfast Television Wednesday.
“It’s in the spirit of how they did Gollum [in Lord of the Rings]. I’m on set, acting, and they’re videotaping me from three different angles. The animators take that footage – of my face and my gestures – and they create the character.”
The fantasy movie, directed by Sam Raimi, opens in Toronto on March 8.
