Jays’ home opener tickets going for $2K online

Looking for tickets for the Toronto Blue Jays home opener against the Cleveland Indians? Be prepared to dig deep.

After-market ticket retailer StubHub.com is selling tickets to the April 2 Rogers Centre game at multiple prices, all the way from $22 to $2,202.

What do you get for that two grand? Two seats in the upper 500s.

StubHub allows ticket holders to sell seats to events, and set their own prices.

But with tickets already sold out — they vanished in one hour when they went on sale — it may be a desperate fan’s only hope.

Unless, of course, you want to wait a day: there are plenty of tickets for the April 3 game.

The Jays begin the season with a three-game series against Cleveland and will then host the Boston Red Sox for another three-game series.

Last seasons, the Blue Jays finished fourth in the American League East with a 73-89 record. This year, all eyes are upon the team thanks to a flurry of off-season moves and an all-star lineup that includes Jose Reyes, Melky Cabrera, Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion and R.A. Dickey.
