John Mayer plays Toronto in August

American singer-songwriter John Mayer has released the schedule for his first tour in three years.

The Born and Raised tour kicks off in July and includes a show at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto on Aug. 14.

The seven-time Grammy winner started performing again in January after a benign growth in his throat forced him to cancel his tour in March 2012.

Mayer’s albums — including Room for Squares, Continuum and last summer’s Born and Raised — have sold more than 17 million copies worldwide.

Tickets for the Toronto show go on sale on March 30.
