Throne speech passes, no provincial election

TORONTO, Ont. – The minority Liberal government has survived to live another day so no election — for now.

With the support of the Liberals and the New Democrats, the throne speech has passed. The Conservatives voted against it.

A second confidence vote was the Supply Act. It also passed with the help of the NDP.

The next big test will be the budget, which is expected next month.
