The government has unveiled its annual list of public servants who earn over $100,000 a year.
The “sunshine list” of Ontario workers who take home a taxpayer-funded paycheque is 11 per cent larger than it was last year and now tops over 88,000 employees.
Topping the list are executives at Ontario Power Generation. Chairman Tom Mitchell made $1.7-million and Hydro One CEO Laura Formusa made $1.03-million.
Here in Toronto, nearly 7,000 workers earn $100,000 or more. The list includes city staff, TTC, police, fire and emergency employees.
Police chief Bill Blair is high on the list with a salary of just under $368,000.
Toronto City Manager Joe Pennechetti earns $331,000.
TTC boss Andy Byford is paid $294,000.
