Skateboarder killed in Caledon

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a skateboarder was killed in Caledon early on Friday morning.

Police say the man was struck by a northbound vehicle on Highway 10, north of Escarpment Sideroad, at about 3:15 a.m.

The name and the age of the skateboarder has not been released, but police said the victim was an adult male.

The driver remained on scene and there’s no word on charges.

Highway 10 is closed between Charleston Side Road and Olde Baseline Road as police investigate.
