The city’s aerial spraying program to control Gypsy Moths will begin Sunday and continue into Monday, according to officials.
The first bout of spraying will take place in Etobicoke on Sunday morning.
Officials say infestation levels have reached a point where the usual manual control methods are no longer effective.
These methods include egg scraping, sticky traps and ground spraying of pesticides.
In the face of these techniques failing the aerial spraying program is designed as a stronger method to control the Gypsy Moth population.
