Man dead after car falls into construction pit

A man is dead after his car fell into a construction pit early Sunday morning.
He was driving on Joe Shuster Way, near King and Dufferin streets, shortly before 6:30 a.m., when his car plowed through the construction fence and plunged about two storeys into the foundation hole.
The man, in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
