Driver in custody after Hwy. 403 & Hurontario crash

Ontario Provincial Police have one man in custody after a crash near Highway 403 and Hurontario Street on Tuesday morning.

It’s believed the driver was being pursued by police when he hit two other vehicles just before 3 a.m.

He then took off on foot.

Peel police arrested the man and handed him over to the OPP.

There’s no word yet on charges.

At least two people from the other vehicles were taken to hospital. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
