Just for Laughs festival coming to Toronto

The Just for Laughs festival will be returning to Toronto this September for another year of stand-up, skits and music-backed performances.

JFL42 festival runs Sept. 19-28 and features 42 comedians (hence the “42” in the name) and acts over a 10-day period.

Last year’s festival, the first of its kind in Toronto, brought popular comedians Louis CK and Patton Oswalt to the city and was such a success JFL has returned for a second year.

This year’s festival promises to keep the laughs coming with major headliners that comedy fans are sure to love. Funny girl Sarah Silverman and Parks & Recreation star Aziz Ansari will take the stage for stand-up performances, while podcast stars Marc Maron and Bill Burr will also perform.

Put a face to the voice behind one of television’s most popular cartoons as the people behind Family Guy host a live reading of the popular show. Family Guy Live will consist of a live read as well as musical numbers, all performed by the stars of Family Guy themselves—Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green, and Mila Kunis.

Stand-up comedian Andy Kindler and Canadian comedian Ryan Belleville are also scheduled to perform along with dozens of other comedians.
