Toronto getting 8 new mini parks: report

Toronto is getting more green space, according to the Toronto Star.

Eight mini-parks are being installed along the east side of Church Street in July and August.

The mini-parks will be installed in parking spots and will include wooden decks, tables, benches, chairs and planters.

The Toronto Star has reported that half of the parklets will be licenced and serve as extended patios for adjacent business.

The rest will be unlicenced and open to the public and the parklets will be in place until the end of October.
