OPP-patrolled roads

Motorists can also expect to see more police on the road over the long weekend looking for speeding, distracted and aggressive drivers.

The Canada Day weekend is one of the busiest of the year for police.

Provincial police will also be on area waterways, making sure people stay safe.

Police said people may be getting the message as there are 110 deaths reported on OPP-patrolled roads, waterways and trails this year, compared with 173 at the same time last year.
