Woman killed in North York apartment fire

A woman in her 50s has died in an apartment fire in North York, EMS confirms.
It happened around 1:45 p.m. Saturday in a building on Yonge Street near Finch Avenue.
Toronto Fire Services said they put out two fires in the second floor unit, one in the living room and another in the hallway.
“It’s a bit of a mystery,” said platoon chief Tony Bellavance.
“Looks like a couple of places that the fire was going and we’re not sure why.”
Crews evacuated the units on that floor, and no one else was injured.
The fire marshal is investigating.
