Witnesses sought after cyclist killed in Markham

Witnesses are being sought by police after a cyclist was struck and killed in Markham on Sunday.
The incident occurred around noon on York Durham Line, north of the intersection at Elgin Mills Road East.
A Honda Fit lost control and crossed the centre line, striking the 63-year-old cyclist who died at the scene.
The driver, a 30-year-old woman from Whitchurch-Stouffville, remained at the scene.
The victim’s name wasn’t disclosed.
The investigation by York police continues.
