After seven days of searching, Durham police say they will continue their efforts to locate 52-year-old Jeffrey Boucher.
“We owe it to the family to keep looking,” Insp. Nick Lisi told reporters Sunday.
Boucher is believed to have vanished after heading out for a morning run last Monday.
Police have been concentrating their search on a five kilometre radius in Whitby with additional attention being paid to Boucher’s known running routes and nearby greenspaces.
Lisi said they are not ruling out any possibilities when it comes to what may have happened to the teacher, but at this point they’ll continue their search in the hopes of finding him safe and alive.
Police will meet Monday morning to take stock of where they are in their investigation and to consider their next move.
