Toronto is still under an extreme cold weather alert on Tuesday as the deep freeze continues.
Tuesday will be mainly sunny with a high of -14 C, 680News meteorologist Jill Taylor said, with a wind chill near -27. Tuesday night will see a low of -20 C with a wind chill near -29.

It’s the 10th day the city has been under a cold weather alert, one day more than all of last winter.
On Monday, the City of Toronto issued an extreme cold weather alert, triggering additional services for the homeless.
Environment Canada had also issued a wind chill warning for the city and much of southern Ontario, including Hamilton, Halton, Peel, York and Durham. However, the wind chill warning for Toronto ended Tuesday mid-morning.
The TTC says customers may experience longer than normal wait times on all streetcar routes.

Meanwhile, the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) tweeted, encouraging students to bundle up.

Across the GTA, a wind-chill-fueled deep freeze is likely sticking with us for most of this week, Taylor said.
“The cold air will take over. It’s another blast of very cold arctic air for us.”
