Ontario’s police watchdog is investigating after a 29-year-old man was nicked by a cab while running from an officer early Sunday morning.
It’s alleged the man assaulted a taxi driver in the entertainment district and took off.
An officer started chasing the suspect, who was hit by another cab at Adelaide and Duncan streets, west of University Avenue.
The suspect was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There’s no word on charges.
The Special Investigations Unit probes cases involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
